Saw a rabbit, heard a woodpecker

We had a picnic at the Beaver Creek State Park with Junior and Jenny Rardon, his brother, John, and a bunch of their relatives and friends. We took Tony, Joan, Janet, Toby, Olivia, Tyler and friends from Youngstown, Pete and Peggy Commarata and Pete’s mom, Anna who is 94 and very good health. I grew up with Pete in Wellsville. This park is wooded, with many picnic sites along Beaver creek, has an old lock from the canal system days, a grist mill that is sometimes operated and grind flour, many historic buildings and a one-lane bridge. There is also camping in the park, though not at this location. It was very comfortable in the shade of the trees. A few even tried their hand at fishing, including Tyler and Olivia.
