Gettysburg KOA, PA 6-02-97

Pics: 1) Coming into Ohio (from Chester, West Virginia); 2) on the road into Wellsville (Michael's hometown)

6/2/07 – Saturday – 67562 – 225 - Gettysburg, PA – started out partly sunny but with a big lightning show at night – low +64 - high +89

Saw squirrels, chipmunks, groundhogs and 1 muskrat

From Gettysburg, on US30, to I-76, the road was steep and winding over a series of mountains. Traffic moved smoothly until we neared Pittsburgh, where the westbound I-376 lanes were reduced to one lane for three miles. Those three miles took nearly an hour to drive. After this delay, we crossed the Monongahela River (from the bridge you can see where this river, and the Allegheny river form the Ohio River), and then passed through a small slice of West Virginia, and into Ohio towards Tony and Joan’s (Mike’s brother and sister-in-law) house and Michael’s hometown of Wellsville.

Tonight was a big thunder and lightning show with lots of rain.
