Buckeye Lake KOA, OH 6-15-07

Pics: 1) Tyler in the pool; 2) Tyler still in the pool (and the sun is setting)

6/15/07 – Friday – 68208 – 139 – Buckeye Lake KOA, OH – sunny and hot – low +65 – high +94

Saw 2 turkeys, 3 deer, 2 rabbits (one was a baby) and several fox squirrels

We enjoyed watching the fox squirrels at the Buckeye Lake KOA before leaving to travel Interstate 70 again. The traffic through Columbus, OH, was hectic due to merging and separating highways and construction for miles. We crossed the state border from Ohio to Indiana about 1700 and arrived at the Richmond, IN, KOA shortly afterwards.

This KOA has a small lake to fish in and no license is required (privately owned lakes are usually exempt from state fishing license requirements in many states). They also have evening movies (tonight’s was “Cars”) and a swimming pool, which Tyler really enjoyed and didn’t want to leave when it was time for the pool to close.
